Shop Pay Installments

Shop Pay gives you the option to pay for an order over time. Shop Pay Installments is a great option to help you maximize your budget for orders between $35 USD and $30,000 USD.

Payment Options

Depending on your purchase amount and the payment options offered at checkout, you can pay for your order in installments as follows:

Purchase amount $35 USD to $49.99 USD

  • 2 bi-weekly installment payments
  • No additional charges or interest rates

Purchase amount $50 USD to $999.99 USD

  • 4 bi-weekly installment payments
  • No additional charges or interest rates

Purchase amount $150 USD to $20,000 USD

  • Monthly installment payments paid in 3, 6, or 12 months depending on the options available at checkout
  • Interest rates between 0-36% APR

Purchase amount $20,000.01 USD to $30,000 USD

  • 1 down payment of the amount that exceeds $20,000 USD, with the remaining $20,000 balance split into 3, 6, or 12 monthly installment payments depending on the options available at checkout
    For example, you pay for a $25,000 USD order using Shop Pay Installments. At checkout, you pay a down payment of $5,000 USD, and then pay for the remaining $20,000 USD in monthly installment payments.
  • Interest rates between 6-36% APR

    Your first payment and offers may vary due to eligibility. There are no late fees associated with Shop Pay Installments orders. While there's no impact to your credit score when you apply to use Shop Pay Installments, your loan and payment information may be shared with credit reporting agencies.

    Shop Pay Installments eligibility

    To pay for an order using Shop Pay Installments, the following eligibility criteria apply:

    • You need to have a United States billing address, and be signed up for Shop Pay.
    • Your order needs to be between $35 USD and $30,000 USD, including shipping and taxes.
    • For orders split into bi-weekly payments, you need to pay with a supported credit card or debit card.
    • For orders paid for in monthly installment payments, you can only pay with a supported debit card.

    Limitations

    The following limitations apply to Shop Pay Installments. If any of the below limitations apply to your order, then you can't use Shop Pay Installments to pay for that order:

    • You can't pay for an order if the order includes currency in any form, including virtual and digital currency, such as gift cards.
    • You can't pay for a Shop Pay Installments order using a Capital One card, Chase credit card, prepaid debit cards, or prepaid credit cards.

    Shop Pay Installments is powered by Affirm, who reviews your application at checkout.

    We do not have access to your personal information entered in Shop Pay Installments or Shop Pay account.

    Fees or penalties

    For purchases split into 4 bi-weekly payments, there are no additional charges or interest rates applied. Purchases split into monthly payments may be subject to interest.

    You can pay your balance off early without penalty.

    There are no late fees. However, partial or late payments may affect your ability to use Shop Pay Installments in the future.

      To pay with Shop Pay Installments with us:

      • Choose Shop Pay at checkout.
      • Choose to pay in installments and tap Continue.
      • Select the installments option that best suits you.
      • Choose a debit or credit card to use for payment, then tap Continue.
      • Follow the steps to verify your identity—this usually takes just a few moments.
      • If you agree to the terms, click Agree, then tap Authorize purchase.
      • Enter the 6-digit verification code that was sent to your phone.

      If you didn't get approved for Shop Pay Installments

      If you didn’t get approved for Shop Pay Installments, then check your email inbox for an email from Affirm. This email provides more information about your application. Keep in mind that you might be approved the next time you apply.

      If you can’t find the email, then:

      • Confirm you're checking the same email account that you use for Shop Pay
      • Check other email folders, such as your Spam or Junk folder

      Disclosure

      Rates from 0-36% APR. Payment options through Shop Pay Installments are subject to an eligibility check and are provided by these lending partners: affirm.com/lenders. Options depend on your purchase amount, and a down payment may be required. State notices to consumers: affirm.com/licenses.

      For example, a $800 purchase could be split into 12 monthly payments of $72.21 at 15% APR, or 4 interest-free payments of $200 every 2 weeks.

      Affirm is the originator and servicer of Shop Pay installments, but payments are managed in your Shop Pay account.
